Week 41 in Florida (Naples 3.1)

Ahhhhhhh! I feel like this was a long week. But not a bad week! We
drove up the Tampa, 3 hours. It was fun to be somewhere familiar :)
that where I got my niƱa! She's amazing!!!! Her name is Hna. Melchor.
She's most recently from Utah, but mostly raised in Arizona. The
elders here convinced her to say she's from Arizona because when you
say your from Utah, people say "yay, another Utah Mormon..."  She
likes being from Arizona better :) Her parents are from Mexico, so she
already speaks Spanish!!! We say that I'll teach her to do missionary
work and she'll teach me Spanish. So far it's work pretty well!
President also so that unless I feel like I really need it, we don't
do language study. We tried not doing it this week, and I feel fine! I
learn from Hna, and that's all I think I need right now! I like that
better, I was not too excited about having 4 hours of studies a day,
and teaching someone Spanish. So it's perfect!
We had kinda a slow week, but we also had a baptism! Harvey finally
got baptized! Half the ward thought he was already a member, because
he's been active in church for almost a year. It was awesome! Not
quite perfect (we forgot to tell him to bring a towel and extra
underwear... Jeje) but! That didn't ruin it for anyone! He was so
happy, as well as everyone else! He got confirmed on Sunday, and
because he's been active almost a year and is going to be gone for a
lot of the summer, bishop approved him to get the priesthood the same
day! I didn't know that was allowed, but, bishop's in charge!
So, we were having a slow week. Lots of walking and not too many real
lessons. I felt bad for Hna. Melchor, but then I thought maybe it was
just because she needed to start with lots of street contacting. That
could still be true, but on Saturday we had 7 lessons! None of our
plans fell through! It was almost a perfect day!
Funny of the week! Actually, yesterday, we finally got a hold of a
potencial and he said we could see him yesterday. We stopped by, but
there wasn't a women home. So we told him we'd have to come back. But
before we left he told me that I was pretty, and that he needed to
find someone to marry who has papers, and if I wanted to marry him. I
just gave him a Mormon.org card and told him to call when he checks it
out. Hna. Melchor asked if I understood what he said. I told her yeah,
and she couldn't stop laughing!!! Yeah... Probs gonna send Los Elderes
to go visit him if he calls back. But for now, he's dropped!
Man, I love being a trainer! I definitely know know why they call
trainers moms and dads. I feel so responsible for her happiness, and I
just love her so much! I know that she was sent to me by God, and that
He expects me to train her to be the missionary He needs right now. So
far, I don't think I've messed anything up. But I'm always worried
about it!
Being a missionary is the best! I seriously can't think of anything
more important right now. When we're doing the work of The Lord, we
don't need to worry about anything else. He will provide! I know that
is true. I hope you're all continuing your studies in Preach my Gospel
and inviting others to come unto Christ! If you're not, you're missing
out on some pretty good blessings! That's one thing I learned this
week: we were doing a real-play in district meeting with the elders.
They were one of their investigators who hasn't been to church in a
year. I told him that that was a long time, and that there were a lot
of blessings he had missed out on. That really is how it is! Every
time, every day we don't follow what The Lord wants is to do, we are
missing out on blessings! I don't wanna miss any. I hope you guys
don't wanna miss any either!
Well, have a great week! I love you all!
