Week 35 in Florida (Naples 2.1)

Oh man, this week was a little nuts! But it was very good :)
We were at the house of one of our less actives who's been kinda
ignoring us lately. But she fed us! (It's a big deal, I promise). It
was so good! Until we woke up the next morning and felt awful! So we
had a sick day, but still went out and had one lesson. I'm still able
to say I've gone out to work every day of the mission! I love it :)
Then on thursday we had our no car day. We rode the bus to the church,
and did planning there, when a HUGE thunderstorm started. So we just
planned for a couple extra hours, walked around and then went to a
relief society meeting. So not too much work that day.
Saturday was the best day ever!!! Something else that happened on our
sick day was that the other sisters called us and asked of we could
clear out our plans for Saturday. We asked why and they said it was
because we were going to go to the temple open house in Fort
Lauderdale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fort Lauderdale isn't in our mission, so
none of us missionaries were going to be allowed to go. But the
missionaries there had a conference on Saturday, and needed some
replacements. So 18 of the southern most sisters got to go! We were
there all day. Me and Hna. Killpack worked in the exit tent from the
temple. We answered questions and visited with members. I saw some
members from Tampa! I freaked out! It was so great to see them, and
they had no idea i was going to be there either, so they were pretty
excited too! Then when the other sisters got back, we got to take our
own tour through the temple. And we had a guest with us! Remember the
man who spoke about the Olympic athletes in conference? That's Bishop
Stevenson, and he came with us! When we were were in the sealing room,
he talked to us about eternity with the mirrors. He just kept looking
us in the eyes, and of course we all had tears in our eyes. We were SO
grateful to be in the temple. I kinda forgot how much I missed it. I
can't wait when i can go all the time! Hna. Newbill, my mtc companion
was there too. She said the next time we're in the brides room
together will be when one of us is getting married! Ah!
Oh man, you guys. The temple! When was the last time you went? A
month, a week, a day, and hour? GO AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE! I can't go at
all, so I'm not gonna put up with many excuses right now. If you can't
put aside a few hours a month to go to the house of The Lord, you need
to change your priorities. I'm not being harsh, I'm just saying what's
true. Don't let yourself be comfortable not going to the temple. That
just gives satan more room in our lives. And that is never good.
We had all but one of our people getting baptized on May 15th at
church yesterday! I'm glad they're all still on track! That day is
gonna be awesome!
I love being a missionary! I hope you're all studying preach my
gospel, like Elder Ballard told you to! What have you learned so far?

Les quiero! Muchísimo!
Hermana Despain
