Week 46 in Florida (Naples 3.6)

This week was nuts! And yesterday ended it in a bad way. We got
transfer updates, and we're all leaving! Hna. Finlayson's heading
home, and Hna. Lewis and I are getting transferred. Not at ALL what we
were predicting. We bore out testimonies in church yesterday, and the
ward was pretty upset as well :/ I don't think it's quite hit me yet.
I totally thought I'd end the mission here! But, nope. Anyway, wait on
mail for a bit. I'll let you know next week the new home!
This week was by far the most eventful week of the whole mission.
Every kind of emotion you can feel was felt. Mostly I just tagged
along, which was nice. All my investigators were either out of town,
or busy all week, so we didn't do too much work in my area. On
Wednesday we pranced the elders! They took the car I had for the week,
because they were on full bike. We realized we had a spare key. So we
went after planning and moved the car from their apartment to the
other elders apartment. There are three missionary apartments in this
complex. They called us the next night to ask about it, and we were
able to convince them it wasn't us, they think it was the other
elders!! It was awesome! We'll probably tell them what happened at a
mission reunion.
For the Fourth of July, we went to a parade! It was so fun! Not too
many people were home, so we didn't teach much. Wish was fine, because
Hna. Fin wasn't feeling good. We took a break at the church for a bit
for her to take a break. And we finished it with a BBQ with the
English ward. It was pretty much a missionary party, we were all
there! They did fireworks and it was awesome! Then we got home, and
the phone rang. It was Hna. Lewis's dad. Every missionary knows that
when a family members calls, it's for bad news. Her little sister got
in a car accident. She got put in a medically induced coma, and has a
really bad head injury. So far, she's made progress, but she's still
asleep.
There have been a lot of goodbyes, tears, laughter, memories,
learning, and growing this week. Basically every day had to happen the
way it did. Everything was by the hand of God. I KNOW he was watching
out for each of us this week. We said probably a thousand times that
we needed to have this trio this week. Me dealing with Hna. Melchor
going home, Hna. Fin finishing the mission, and Hna. Lewis getting the
news. We had to be together for that! It was crazy.
And now I'm leaving Naples! I'm gonna miss everyone so much! I'm
telling everyone I'll be back around Christmas :) hope that's ok!
Don't worry, it'll probably be more like New Years.
Oh hey. My one year mark is on Wednesday! That's crazy! Time is just
flying! I'll see you all sooner than you know! I love you all!
