Week 55 in Florida (Naples 5.3)

Whoa, already halfway through the transfer!? Also, I've officially
been a missionary 14 months, aka 61 weeks. Yuck, that's just weird!
We had an awesome week! Taught lots of people, saw many miracles, and
worked hard! Of course, that doesn't help me in the least bit know
what to write about...
We have 2 baptisms for Thursday, and they're so ready. It's Ernie De
Acosta and Carmen Cabrera.  Both from part member families, it's been
so great to see the way the families worked with us. We're all in this
together! Carmen's turning 90 on the 20th! She said she wanted to make
sure to get baptized before she turned 90. Ernie is just amazing!
They've been ready scriptures as a family, and he loves it! He's been
a better dad lately, which is crazy because he was already a great
dad! We were worried about which ward he'd get baptized with, because
he's been going to the English ward because of his work schedule, but
when we told the bishop yesterday that he wants his records in the
Spanish ward, there was no problem!
Miracle! We've had these two referrals for weeks from an investigator,
they're her brothers who live with her. But she wanted us to invite
them to sit in on the lessons, but whenever we're there, they just
hide in their room. Yesterday one of them came out and we asked if he
wanted to come listen, but he acted embarrassed, but I think he
listened from the hallway. The other one came out too and sat on the
couch and participated!
Also! We also found a lady in a park that is so prepared! She's
English, so we found an English member to come visit her, and they
were perfect together! She didn't get to come to church Sunday,
because her son was sick, but she should be coming next week!
Oh! Highlight of the week! We finally got to see Enrique, and old
investigator that showed up at church a few weeks ago. We either
haven't had time to see him or haven't been able to find him. But we
finally found him this week and asked him if he still wants to get
baptized, and he asked how soon he could! He wants to get baptized by
the end of the month! Part of the reason why he got dropped is because
his mental health is failing. He told us he has Parkinson's and
Alzheimer's and other medical issues. But when we saw him, he was
totally normal! Hopefully he can stay that way long enough to get
baptized and enjoy the blessings of that!
We also stopped by the house of a less active couple. They had plans
to get sealed in August, but haven't been active enough for that... So
we asked how all that was. The husband said they just need to pay
tithing and go to church and they should be good! The goal now is for
the end of the year! Hopefully before I leave for home :) never ever
ever postpone blessings of ordinances! There are no excuses! If you're
not ready for them get ready and do it! That's all :)
There are blessings to be had, and all we have to do is obey a rule
and then we get them! Obedience never made so much sense to me until I
became a missionary. There's a lot of things that never made sense to
me before thank goodness for the mission!
Los quiero, todos!
