Week 51 in Florida (Naples 4.5)

So, I've officially had an iPad for 6 months. I had to change the pass
code yesterday. Totally annoying, but that's ok! Safety first! Or
something...
I just realized it didn't talk about my little companions last week.
Granted, I'd only been with them a day... But here ya go! It's Sisters
Bush and Beck. Sister Bush is from Logan, Utah, is 23, and pretty much
the definition of fun-size. It's way too easy to tease her, and she's
gonna be the goofiest mom someday, I love her! Sister Beck is from
Nyssa, OREGON!!! It's next to Ontario. She grew up on a farm, and her
family still has it. We made plans for me to come visit next summer to
work a little bit! I'm actually pretty excited! We've all gotten
pretty tight, and I'm so grateful I had this time to work with them!
They're English sisters, but I've been teaching them a little Spanish.
Sister Beck goes home next week, and Sister Bush has 6 weeks after
that. We just have a blast together!
So, this zebra experience has been so much better than the last one.
First of all, I know it'll only be for a couple weeks, second, my
Spanish is actually good now, and third, I think it's easier in a
trio. Because then they have each other to be totally lost with, and I
don't have to worry as much about them. Also, they don't have very
much work at all in their English world, so we've been in
"Spanish-land" a lot, so they call it.
Everybody's still doing well! Dayna and Ernie got to come to church!
They tried out the English ward, but didn't like the people, because
they talked throughout the service. So they'll try the Spanish ward
again :) but that's a good point, when we come to church, we should
never forget why we are there. Even if the talks are "boring"  or you
didn't sleep the night before or something, we should all be doing our
best to be alert and focused. We get told all the time as missionaries
that we are under a microscope. But we set so many little expectations
with our investigators before they even get to church, and we get them
there finally and sometimes the members just ruin it! Ugh, it's the
worst!
Tayris was gonna get baptized this week, but she went AWOL and wants a
couple more weeks to think. So, that's a bummer. She's been learning
for about 8 months, has had at least 5 baptism dates, and just keeps
backing out. Not gonna lie, my heart is broken, and I'm finding it
really hard to find the motivation to keep working with her! Hopefully
she'll contact us in a couple weeks, or that we'll be able to catch
her at home. Also, her mom told me she might be moving to Boston soon.
That was hard to hear! She's been a little mission mom for me, and I
don't want her to go! Meh :'(
Well, I can't think of too much more to tell, I'm surrounded by dying
missionaries, and it's weird! Sister Beck will be the third in a row
that I've helped to kill off, and my next companion will probs be a
little greenie. That's gonna be an adjustment! Time is just flying by!
Christmas will be here before you know it! Just so everyone knows, my
plans right now are the get home December 16th, spend as much time as
possible with mi familia and whoever else wants to spend time with me,
and spend a little time with the hermanas in Hood River! and then be
back to BYU by January 5th to go to school. Whoa. That's so crazy!
Anyway, plan accordingly :)
Los quiero, TANTO! La iglesia es verdadera, nunca olviden eso. Y si lo
olviden, voy a volver a ser misionera y recordarte de los bendiciones,
milagros, y gozo que hay!
Hermana Despain

It goes Sister Beck, Sister Bush, and then me, Hermana Despain :)
